Who we are
The Bache Group is a family-founded West Midlands manufacturing group, and is the parent of a number of specialist businesses and brands, including Bache Pallets, Genwork and Air. Our registered address is Bromley Street, Lye, West Midlands, DY9 8HU. When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean The Bache Group.
This policy applies to the Bache Group website and to the websites of our brands, including the Air website. Where a particular feature, such as a contact form, newsletter sign-up or embedded social feed, is only present on some of our sites, this policy makes that clear.
What information we collect
When you use a contact or enquiry form on one of our sites, we collect the information you provide. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, company name, the type of enquiry, and your message. We only collect what is needed to respond to your enquiry and route it to the right part of our business.
If you choose to subscribe to a newsletter or marketing updates, available on some of our brand sites such as Air, we also collect the email address you provide for that purpose.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit through a contact or enquiry form to respond to your enquiry, direct it to the appropriate business or brand, for example Bache Pallets, Genwork or Air, and follow up where relevant. We won't use your details for anything beyond what you'd reasonably expect from getting in touch with us.
Where you have subscribed to a newsletter or marketing updates, we use your email address to send you those communications until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in any message.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
Contact and enquiry forms — legitimate interest. You have contacted us and we need to process your details in order to respond and to manage our business relationship with you.
Newsletter and marketing updates — consent. We send these only where you have actively opted in, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.
Analytics cookies — consent, given through the cookie banner on our site. You can change or withdraw this at any time. See our Cookie Policy for more information.
How your data is processed
Where a site offers a contact or enquiry form, that form may be processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. When you submit the form, your data passes through Formspree's servers before reaching us by email. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can review their privacy practices at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Where a site offers newsletter sign-up, such as the Air website, those subscriptions may be processed by Mailchimp, which acts as a data processor on our behalf for the delivery of those communications.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited and how long people spend on the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. The data is aggregated and pseudonymised, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. Analytics cookies are only set after you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party services on our brand sites
Some of our brand sites use additional third-party services to provide certain features. For example, the Air website may use Adobe Fonts to serve brand typefaces and Elfsight to display an embedded LinkedIn feed. Where present, these services may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, needed to deliver the relevant feature, and may set their own cookies. Our Cookie Policy explains how to manage cookies.
International transfers
Some of the providers we use, including Google, Formspree and, where applicable, Mailchimp and Elfsight, are based in or process data in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
How we keep your data secure
We take the security of your personal data seriously and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. While we work to safeguard your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep your data
Contact and enquiry form submissions are retained in our email systems for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and are then deleted once they are no longer required for that purpose or to meet our legal obligations. We don't maintain a separate database of form submissions. Newsletter subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Who we share your data with
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with the service providers described in this policy, such as Formspree, Google and, where applicable, Mailchimp, who process it on our behalf. Enquiries may be forwarded internally to the relevant Bache Group business or brand to ensure you get the right response.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing, request that we restrict processing, and request the transfer of your data, known as data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk, although we'd ask that you contact us first so we can try to put things right.
Children's privacy
Our websites are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our services and products are aimed at businesses and professional customers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We won't make significant changes without making it clear.
