Introduction

Air is a modular acoustic barrier system for industrial projects where managing boundary noise, protecting workers, and maintaining compliance are critical. Built from 99% recycled polymers and tested to BS EN standards, it’s engineered to reduce noise impact while keeping installation straightforward and efficient.

Panels slot together for rapid assembly around live industrial sites. The durable surface resists weathering, impact and chemical exposure, reducing maintenance requirements and ensuring consistent long-term performance.

Typical use cases
  • Manufacturing and processing plants
  • Warehousing and logistics hubs
  • Industrial estates and boundary screening
  • Expansion projects increasing site noise
Project outcomes
  • Support compliance with noise regulations
  • Minimise disruption during installation
  • Provide durable, low-maintenance infrastructure

Why Air for Industrial Sites?

Reduce noise impacts, maintain compliance and keep operations moving. Air provides reliable boundary screening for manufacturing, logistics and heavy industry, installing quickly and performing for decades.

The issue

Noise escaping industrial boundaries

Manufacturing lines, loading bays and logistics hubs often create noise that disrupts nearby communities and businesses.

Why it matters

Compliance and community confidence

Managing noise helps sites meet regulations, avoid complaints, and maintain positive relationships with neighbours and regulators.

How Air helps

Fast installs, proven protection

Modular panels slot together quickly around live industrial sites, providing reliable acoustic control with minimal disruption.

Proven results

Independently certified performance

  • Certified to BS EN 1793 / 1794 standards
  • Independent test data and case studies
  • Resistant to weather, impact and chemical exposure

What you get

Quieter operations, lasting value

10 years vs 40 years: the lifecycle that saves

Timber barriers typically require replacement on a ~10-year cycle. Air has a 40-year design life - reducing replacements, disruption, waste, and cost.

Air acoustic barrier system

Air is engineered for proven acoustic performance and long-term durability. Each cassette is built with recycled PVC housings and delivers a 40-year design life. The Absorptive variant incorporates a natural mineral-wool core for enhanced sound absorption, while the Reflective variant delivers high airborne insulation through a solid cassette structure. Tested to BS EN 1793-1 and -2, Air achieves DLα = 8 dB (sound absorption) and DLR = 28–29 dB (airborne insulation). The quick-slot cassette system enables rapid installation with minimal plant use, improving on-site safety and efficiency.

END OF LIFE
Designed for circularity
End-of-life isn't the end. Air panels are deconstructed, reprocessed, and re-extruded into new components.

Designed for circularity

A simple promise: materials stay in use. From the very first extrusion to decades of reliable service, every Air barrier is designed to deliver both acoustic performance and long-term sustainability. The system minimises waste during manufacture, uses up to 99% recycled PVC, and is supported by a circular end-of-life programme that ensures each component is recovered, reprocessed and made ready for its next installation. This commitment to performance and reuse makes Air a defining step forward for noise control infrastructure.

FAQs

Explore the most common questions on Air for industrial projects. For tailored advice on your site, our expert team is here to help.

What acoustic ratings can Air achieve?
Certified to BS EN 1793: DLα = 8 dB absorption, DLR = 28–29 dB insulation. Actual site performance depends on barrier height, site layout, and surrounding conditions.
What’s the difference between absorptive and reflective?
Absorptive reduces reflected noise; Reflective deflects sound. Selection depends on factory layout, yard geometry, and proximity to neighbours.
How fast is installation?
Click-and-lock panels install rapidly with minimal disruption to production or logistics operations. Actual rates depend on access, safety protocols, and shift duration.
What panel heights are available?
Configurable to project requirements. Posts and centres are designed specifically for industrial boundaries, warehouses, or expansion projects.
What foundations are required?
Project-specific, depending on ground conditions, loading, and proximity to buried services or heavy plant areas.
How durable is the system?
Designed for ~40-year service life with stable acoustic performance and low maintenance needs.
Is it resistant to weather and contaminants?
Yes — resistant to rot, weathering, chemical exposure, and contaminants typically found on industrial sites.
Can Air be used for temporary works?
Yes — suitable for screening compounds and temporary phases during construction or site upgrades, with appropriate foundations.
What colours are available?
Standard finishes are Brown and Green. Alternative finishes can be provided to suit industrial estates or corporate branding if specified.
Do you provide design support?
Yes — acoustic modelling, layout planning, and installation guidance tailored to industrial project teams.
